Cellulite can be called uneven pits on the top cover of the skin. The appearance resembles an orange peel. Cellulite is fat that is unevenly distributed because fat cells are wrapped in small sacs and distributed in muscle tissue. When gaining weight, the skin tissues are stretched, this leads to cellulite. However, this problem worries even the most slender representatives of the fairer sex, even their body contains about 25% fat.
Why does this problem mainly persecute women? There are several reasons for this.
Firstly, women have very thin skin, and therefore cellulite is more noticeable than men. Secondly, of course, this is a “female” hormone – estrogen, it is he who influences the fact that in women cellulite is deposited on more noticeable parts of the body: buttocks, sides and hips.
What will help get rid of cellulite?
Only a combination of diet, exercise and massage will help get rid of cellulite. However, this will require patience and time – it will not be possible to remove cellulite in a few weeks. General strengthening exercises, long-term moderate intensity training, such as swimming or walking for several hours a day, are recommended.
Aerobic exercise can remove excess fat, as well as improve the appearance of the skin and increase muscle tone. To prevent the formation of a cellulite crust, power loads are also effective, which help strengthen muscles. Stretching exercises, combined with proper breathing, enrich the blood with oxygen, which is necessary for burning fat.
Anti-cellulite massage or self-massage is also used to improve blood circulation. There is no need to spend a lot of money on different salons or special expensive anti-cellulite creams: an energetic massage with a relatively inexpensive body scrub, special massage jars or a simple moisturizing baby cream also brings results.
An anti-cellulite diet should be aimed at removing toxins and toxins, as well as improving bile secretion, and normalizing the water-salt balance. You also need to reduce the consumption of calories, this will allow the body to expend internal energy and get rid of cellulite.
Diet for cellulite
The diet helps to get rid of cellulite, only when the normal blood flow is restored, as well as the outflow of lymph is absolutely not difficult. Otherwise, this diet will not give the desired results, since the body is not able to use its old reserves to which it does not have access.
To normalize bile secretion, a different diet is needed, which includes a large amount of fruits and vegetables. It can be black radish, grapefruit, corn silk, wild rose, peppermint infusion, tansy, milk thistle, barberry, celandine, dandelion, chicory and various other plants.
To enhance the water-salt balance and to stop swelling, you need to drink plenty of water, minimize the intake of salt, as well as products containing caffeine and alcohol. In order to unload the liver (without the normal operation of which it is impossible to fully get rid of toxins deposited in the subcutaneous fatty tissues), reduce the consumption of fatty foods, pastries and bread, as well as chocolate.
If you want to determine the daily calorie content of the diet, then you need to calculate your energy consumption needs and consume 600-1200 kcal less per day than you spend.
If you want to stick to an anti-cellulite diet, then you need to exclude such foods from the diet as:
- fried meats, foods with a crust, fats, grilled chicken;
- sausage, sausages, smoked meats;
- high-fat dairy products;
- semi-finished products;
- alcoholic products;
- sugar, flour products (white rice, pasta and bread, pastries, sweets, etc.);
- various kinds of seasonings;
- marinades and pickles.
All these products load the body, have a fruitful effect on the formation of free radicals, and also retain fluid in the body. All this leads to cellulite.
The diet must be balanced in terms of the composition of fats, proteins and carbohydrates. It needs to include the following components:
- fiber: legumes, fruits, vegetables, cereals, dried fruits.
- protein (in small amounts): lean white meat, eggs, seafood
- fats (in small quantities): seeds and nuts, oily fish, steamed or cooked without salt, vegetable oils.
- water and healthy drinks: a large amount of water (on average 2 liters per day) helps to remove excess toxins. You can also drink herbal teas, juices and compotes without added sugar, dairy products without added sugar (in small quantities).
An example of an anti-cellulite diet for ten days
On the odd days of the diet, you need to eat only raw fruits and vegetables.
- for breakfast – only fruits;
- for lunch – vegetable salad with a little olive oil.
- for dinner – fruit, after a salad of vegetables, as well as for breakfast.
All dairy products must be strictly excluded!
On the second day of the diet – you can only eat fruits (except grapes and bananas).
On the remaining days of the diet, as on the first (raw vegetables and fruits), only part of the vegetables can be eaten boiled and a little cereal (lentils, rice, buckwheat, or oatmeal) can be added. On such days, you need to eat raw foods first, and then boiled foods.
