Carrot diet for weight loss

Carrots are probably the most common and affordable vegetable, and besides, they are quite tasty, so it will not be difficult to carry out a carrot diet. It is especially good to “sit” on it in the fall, when the harvest is in progress, or in the spring, when the body lacks vitamins.

But we must not forget that all good things come in moderation. Carrots contain a lot of carotene, which is certainly useful, but its overdose in the body is highly undesirable. Therefore, follow all the recommended norms for the consumption of vegetables on diet days.

So, the diet is designed for 7 days.

In the first 3 days, the conditions are quite harsh – you should eat only grated carrots, to which you can add, if desired, either 1 tablespoon of sour cream or 2 tsp. olive oil. You can consume no more than 1.5 kg of vegetables per day.

Drink green tea with lemon, plain water, unsweetened dried fruit compote, and also, in the morning, you can drink a cup of coffee from ground chicory. During this time, carrots will clean your digestive organs a little, and at the same time the whole body, improve the protective functions of the immune system, and neutralize the toxic secretions of microbes and parasites.

Over the next four days:

  • For breakfast, prepare a salad of grated carrots and add fruits (kiwi, apples, pears, oranges, grapefruits, pomegranate seeds). Drinks are the same – green tea or compote.
  • For lunch, choose from chicken breast and green pea soup or lean beef and bell pepper soup. Soups are made from only these two ingredients. You can add some salt and spices. On the second – a salad of carrots and apples, seasoned with honey and lemon juice.
  • For dinner: a glass of freshly squeezed carrot juice and a glass of yogurt. And if you can’t fall asleep on an empty stomach, carefully chewing, eat a few almonds.

The diet will help you get rid of 4-5 hated kilograms, but do not end it too abruptly. To consolidate the result, try to eat low-fat, mostly vegetable food for another 3-4 days, adding cottage cheese and lean meat (chicken breast or veal) to the diet. Do not have dinner after 18.00 and drink more clean, non-carbonated water. But here, do not overdo it, make sure that there are no edema.

It is clear that white bread, floury and sweet, should also appear on your table only occasionally and in minimal quantities.

Well, if you need to put your body in order in a shorter time, then you can resort to a three-day carrot diet. During these days, eat only raw carrots and apples and as much as you want. At the same time, from drinks – only ordinary water without gas and a glass of kefir for the night.

In a day, you can get rid of 1 kg of weight. But, also, do not leave the diet abruptly, otherwise the kilograms will return immediately, and even twice as much due to the stress experienced by the body. After all, it is known that any restriction meets resistance, and the body, after a diet, in an enhanced mode, begins to gain its previous weight.

But if even after the diet your diet, for some time, is not saturated with calories, then the body will slowly “calm down” and enter the normal mode. Therefore, smoothly include regular food in the diet, guided by the recommendations given above.
