Coffee scrub at home

It is generally accepted that coffee is a wonderful tonic drink. However, it is also an excellent skin exfoliator. But if taste and aroma are valued in a drink, then the grinding of grains is important for the skin. Coffee as a scrub is a combination of a certain grinding and related ingredients that provide a creamy mass.

To prepare a coffee scrub at home, there are several options: fresh ground coffee – retaining all the nutrients and color characteristics;

  • coffee grounds of freshly brewed coffee – giving a softened composition and less caffeine;
  • dried leftovers from brewed coffee earlier – an exfoliating base for other additional components.

Let’s start with the face

Coffee face scrub has several features, namely: – it is prepared from coffee in an oriental way: into dust; – apply with gentle circular motions avoiding the skin in the eye area; – can serve only as a scrub, or maybe as the basis of a mask.

After a long break in facial skin care, use a coffee-apple scrub. You need to mix 1 tbsp. a spoonful of coffee grounds and an apple grated on a fine grater. Apply this slurry on the face and décolleté with soft, massaging movements. Coffee will remove dead cells, and the fruit organic acid of the apple will contribute to their rejection. If you want to keep a tan, but remove places that are susceptible to peeling, you need a gentle peeling with active moisturizing of the skin. To do this, mix two tablespoons of freshly ground fine coffee with a spoonful of hot water (not boiling water), add 15 drops of grape seed oil (it maintains optimal skin hydration). After applying to the face, hold for 20 minutes and rinse with chamomile infusion (but you can also use water).

If your facial skin has begun to become flabby and droopy, a coffee-cucumber scrub will do. To do this, combine finely grated cucumber with a teaspoon of green clay and a tablespoon of ground coffee steamed with hot water. With the finished mixture, gently walk along the massage lines of the face and leave the mixture for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water, wipe with cucumber juice.

If you have oily problematic skin, stop at the coffee-yeast scrub. 1 hour a spoonful of ground coffee is mixed with a small piece of yeast and diluted with hot water to a state of thick sour cream. After washing your face with hot water, apply the mass on the skin. Then gently, from the chin to the forehead, go through the entire face in a circular motion. Coffee scrub for lips

Lips are very sensitive to temperature changes, weather phenomena and show their displeasure with the appearance of crusts and cracking. Special care will help to avoid this. Namely – coffee and honey scrub. You need to mix half a tsp. oriental coffee (if the lips are very weathered – medium-ground coffee) and a little honey. Gently massage your lips with this mixture, removing the stratum corneum. After rinsing, lubricate lips with avocado oil.

A simpler version of a coffee lip scrub: take half a tsp. coffee and olive oil. Apply the mixture on the lips. Rub well and leave for 5 minutes. After, with a cotton pad dipped in a decoction of chamomile, remove everything.

When using a coffee lip scrub, you need to keep the contour in mind. Walk along the contour of the lips with the index finger, using movements in a spiral, before applying the scrub, and before washing it off.

If there are cracks on the lips, and there is aloe at home, it is very good to make a scrub from warm coffee grounds and pounded aloe pulp. The temperature of the scrub should be pleasantly warm. Having applied the mixture on the lips, distribute it not with your fingers, but with the very movement of the lips, as if massaging the lip on the lip. Rinse off the scrub, apply the residue a second time and repeat the procedure. After, wipe the lips with healing oil.

Hands, elbows, knees, heels

Legs and heels require special attention, and therefore once a week they also need to be treated with a scrub. Who has problems with sweating feet – you can use a decoction of oak bark. At this time, mix 1 tbsp. spoons of coffee, 2 tbsp. tablespoons of oil (of any origin), a teaspoon of salt. Apply the mixture on steamed, dried feet. Gently massage your feet for 3-5 minutes. Slightly with pressure to process the heels. Wash off in water. For knees, elbows and hands, it is good to use a mixture of 2 tablespoons of coffee, a spoon of sour cream (yogurt), 2 teaspoons of honey. If you are allergic to honey, you can replace it with aloe juice. Mix everything well. In circular motions, without much pressure, process the steamed roughness. Wash off with water. Wipe with olive oil or cream.

After field work, a scrub will help the skin of the hands – a mask of a tablespoon of coffee grounds and a tablespoon of oatmeal flour. Steam everything. Add avocado oil (10 drops) and a mashed banana quarter. The scrub should be warm. If he twists his hands – add 10 drops of fir oil. And if there are wounds, add a couple of drops of tea tree oil. Steam your hands and put some of the mixture. With movements as if washing my hands, treat the entire surface. Don’t forget about the fingers. After a couple of minutes of such a massage, add the rest of the mixture and distribute it. Put on cellophane gloves and leave for 20 minutes. After rinsing, lubricate your hands with olive oil or cream.
