Effective gelatin masks for softening, for whitening, for blackheads, for oily skin, for dry skin – you will find it all here! You might be surprised by the versatility of this mask! But the secret is simple – the naturalness of gelatin.
Wonderful gelatin face masks are made from the same edible gelatin that is used to prepare various delicious dishes by culinary specialists from all over the world, as well as housewives who love to pamper their loved ones. But perhaps not everyone knows about its beneficial properties and that it is useful to use it not only as a food product, but also as an effective mask for hair and face, and in order to understand its usefulness and effectiveness, you must first know what it consists of.
Composition of gelatin
How many expensive collagen creams are successfully advertised in the media! But not everyone knows that this collagen in many creams has a significant molecular weight and is simply not able to pass through the epidermal barrier and be absorbed by the skin, and this is just an advertising chip! Gelatin, on the other hand, consists of denatured collagen, a protein found in large quantities in connective tissues and contains many different amino acids, which, when used correctly, are successfully absorbed by the skin and used to build their own proteins, which are so necessary especially with age-related skin changes.
Gelatin mask effects
Due to its acidic environment, gelatin has a slight whitening and softening effect, and due to its ability to shrink, it has a tightening and tonic effect. All this helps to give your face freshness and beauty, and with regular use it will help smooth out fine wrinkles. Adding some ingredients to the gelatin mask will help enhance certain of its properties.
In order for masks to be most successful, one should not forget about the general rules for their use:
- Love yourself and leave yourself enough time to maintain your beauty, which is required for the preparation of masks and their application.
- It is better if you complete all your affairs and leave yourself time somewhere around 19-21 pm, because at this time, thanks to its biorhythms, the skin best perceives and absorbs all the nutrients of the mask.
- Remove make-up from your face with your usual make-up remover, take a steam bath and lightly exfoliate with a facial scrub.
- It is necessary to relax your face and not make any facial movements during applications, but it is best to lie down and just listen to pleasant music, the main thing is not to fall asleep.
- You can apply masks not only on the face, but also on the neck and décolleté, because they should also be beautiful.
- After all the procedures, it is necessary to apply a moisturizer to the skin, as any masks remove the natural protective fatty film on the skin.
Preparation of the gelatin mask
Gelatin must first be diluted in a small amount of cold water, milk, juices (according to the recipe), let stand and swell for about 30 minutes. Then let it dissolve completely in a water bath (this happens quite quickly). Such a complex mechanism is necessary to preserve its useful properties. So, the base, saturated with amino acids, is ready. Now you can add different ingredients depending on your skin type and the effect you want to enhance. Exposure time 20 – 30 minutes. We wash off the mask carefully, along the massage lines, with slightly warm water with a cotton pad or sponge, trying not to stretch the skin. If there is excess left in the dishes, then you can feed the handles with them.
- For oily skin.
Mask with gelatin and kefir. We dissolve in the above way 1 tbsp. l. gelatin in 3 tbsp. l. water, add kefir 1 tbsp. l. and wheat flour 1 tbsp. l., wait until it cools down a bit and thickens, and apply on the face in a warm form.
Mask with gelatin and freshly squeezed juices. We dissolve gelatin with freshly squeezed juice in the same proportion as in the previous recipe. You can use the juices of lemon, grapefruit, pear, strawberry, cranberry, red currant, raspberry, or their mashed pulp. Since these fruits can stain a little, you can rub your face with lemon juice afterwards.
- For dry skin.
Mask with gelatin and sour cream. In gelatin dissolved in water 1: 3, add 1 tbsp. l. sour cream, 1 tbsp. l. oatmeal or oatmeal, mix well and apply on face.
Mask with gelatin and milk. Dissolve gelatin in milk as in water and apply on face. You can add 1 tbsp. l. cottage cheese. Remove the mask with a cotton pad soaked in milk.
Gelatin fruit masks. You can add the crushed pulp of the following fruits to the dissolved gelatin: apricot, gooseberry, tangerine, persimmon, avocado, melon.
- Universal masks suitable for all skin types.
Mask with gelatin and banana. Add to the gelatin dissolved in water or milk 1 tbsp. l. banana pulp. Mix the mask well and apply on the face.
Mask with gelatin and cucumber juice. Grate or grind a fresh cucumber in a blender and squeeze the juice out of it. Dissolve the gelatin as described above using cucumber juice. Add to the dissolved gelatin 1 tbsp. l. grated cucumber pulp, and mix everything. Once the mixture has cooled, apply it on your face.
- Gelatin mask for blackheads.
We prepare a solution of 1.5 tbsp. l. gelatin powder and 4 tbsp. l. cold water in the standard way. Then we apply the solution on the face with a brush in several layers. The mask should dry slightly on your face. At this time, it is necessary not to make any facial movements. When the gelatin on the face hardens, then you need to pry off the edge of the mask with your finger and separate it from the face – it should stretch like a film. If the mask has frozen like a crust, then it is better to slightly wet it with water. It will remain “black dots” – microcorks, accumulated from fat and dirt, clogged skin pores. Then you need to rinse your face and remove the remnants of the mask from your face with a cotton swab.
Dear ladies, take care of yourself and always be beautiful!
