The use of thuja oil for adenoids, sinusitis and runny nose

The famous evergreen beauty thuja is known not only for decorating the gardens of royal palaces. It is also a wonderful medicinal plant, called the “tree of life”, and its magnificent oil is a miraculous remedy that can save a person from many chronic diseases.

The use of thuja oil

The first medicinal properties of this tree were discovered by the Indians of North America. They treated them with rheumatism, removed polyps and warts, drank decoctions as a preventive measure against infectious diseases.

Later, when thuja was brought to the European continent, and its oil was officially recognized as a homeopathic medicine, it was used to eliminate ailments of the genitourinary system, female diseases, digestive organs, they were treated with tuberculosis, and parasites were expelled from the body. Its qualities are truly amazing, thanks to them, it has become a universal medicine used in various fields of homeopathy and cosmetology.

But it has earned recognized leadership in the elimination of respiratory diseases, in particular, the nasopharynx: it successfully treats rhinitis, sinusitis, sinusitis. He can stop the growth of adenoids in children, since the use of oil does not lead to drying of the nasal mucosa, and this factor can provoke their appearance. Due to its magical properties, it is capable of:

  • Clear the nasal passages and make breathing easier.
  • Activate the work of the mucous membranes and recovery occurs naturally.
  • Restore the biochemical composition of the nasopharynx and excreted secretions.
  • Eliminate swelling of the inflamed mucosa.
  • Destroy pathogenic microorganisms.
  • Heal damaged epithelium.

For the manufacture of oil, cones and needles of trees are used, which have already overcome the fifteen-year mark, since after this age the maximum amount of active substances accumulates in the tree.

Composition and properties

The composition of thuja oil is diverse: these are tannins, yellow essential oil, flavonoids, a lot of resin, pinine, tuina, sawn, there are traces of saponins, taxifolin, aromadendrin, and many more useful compounds that make it a truly health elixir.

Thanks to such a complex composition and its healing capabilities, thuja oil is also endowed with a variety of properties:

  • This is a wonderful tonic effect.
  • Antimicrobial action is achieved by a large number of phytoncides.
  • Constricts blood vessels.
  • Great pain reliever.
  • Stimulates the immune system.
  • It activates metabolic processes, which favorably affects recovery.

Thuja oil and runny nose

Due to the fact that thuja oil is an excellent antiseptic, has a bactericidal and regenerating effect, constricts blood vessels, it is successfully used in the treatment of rhinitis. After its use, the nasal mucosa will be cleansed, pathogenic bacteria will die, and the inflamed and irritated surface of the nasopharynx will recover.

Having dripped 2 drops of 5% oil into each nostril, after a few minutes the patient will be able to feel relief. If he repeats this procedure 3 times a day for 2 weeks, and then, after a ten-day interval, continues the course of treatment, he will forget about the common cold for a long time.

When nasal congestion does not allow the use of drops, then inhalation will help improve the situation. For 250 g of boiling water, 5 drops are enough, and you need to inhale the healing vapors under a towel for 10 minutes. Mucus will be released much less, swelling will decrease and breathing will become easier.

Thuja oil and sinusitis

Often a cold penetrates into the maxillary sinuses, and then the nose is constantly stuffy, headaches, a feeling of fullness, purulent discharge from the nose – this is sinusitis, a very dangerous and insidious disease that can threaten with serious complications. In order not to bring the common cold to its severe form, oil treatment should be started at the onset of symptoms of the disease. It is able to cure it in the early stages and eliminate it when it has already passed into a chronic form. The main thing is to start treatment on time.

After severe inflammation has been removed, several (2 to 6) drops of oil should be instilled into the nasal passage for two weeks. Next, you definitely need to take a break and repeat the treatment until complete recovery according to the same scheme.

In the case of chronic sinusitis, it is advisable to purchase an aroma lamp. Then, inhaling the fragrant air saturated with phytoncides, you can be treated without resorting to inhalations with boiling water. 2 drops of oil are enough for 25 g of water.

Thuja oil and adenoids

Adenoids are a barrier that prevents pathogenic bacteria from entering the respiratory system of the human body. In children, immune cells can overgrow, and then the adenoids become enlarged and interfere with normal breathing. With their significant growth, doctors recommend surgery, but this is a traumatic procedure for a child, scares parents, and they try to find other ways to get rid of these unpleasant phenomena.

Restoring epithelial tissues in the nasopharynx, natural chemical processes in the nasal mucosa, thuja oil stops the growth of formations and even helps to reduce them. Of course, oil is not a panacea, and it does not help everyone, a lot depends on the individual state of the immune system, the degree of development of the disease, but this is a good alternative to surgery and you should definitely try if there are no contraindications.

There are several regimens for the treatment of adenoids, and they should be chosen depending on the situation, but each of them involves rinsing the nose with seawater-based sprays before instilling oil.

In the first case, oil should be instilled 3 times a day and the first course of treatment should be 6 weeks. Then a 14-day break and again a six-week oil treatment.

The following scheme involves an integrated approach: in addition to oil, the drug “Protargol” is used. This powerful anti-inflammatory agent will pre-cleanse the nose. After 20 minutes, you can drip 2 drops of oil. Next week, instead of oil, the antimicrobial drug “Argolife” containing colloidal silver is involved in the treatment. A week later, thuja oil is used again. And so 6 weeks. Then a two-week break and you need to bury only the oil according to the first scheme.

Another scheme recommends instilling 4 drops of pharmaceutical thuja oil into the nose in the morning, afternoon and evening, after washing the nose with sea water for 14 days. Then, a two-week respite, and the course of treatment must be repeated. Some treatment options allow you to instill 6 or even 8 drops in the nose. In any case, choosing such a treatment, it is necessary to consult a doctor.
